Season 31 - Division 3 (out of 8)
Start of season thoughts:
This season is one which I think that the Sharp Shooters could end up getting promoted or even winning. New to this division are the Wallbags, which were relegated last season with a GD of -33 and 1 point, JFK & Dirty Half Dozen promoted from the division below. My prediction for the season is that we and one of the promoted teams finish in the top 2, Wallbags and Mexican Tuna Ath go down (Mexican Tuna are only in the division due to the virtue of teams in higher divisions pulling out, despite finishing in the relegation places the last 2 seasons). Churchill Doubtfires should comfortably stay in the division, if not push for promotion themselves. Overall I am looking for a good season and a high finish.

How the match went: This was a match against a team we underrated and it showed. Although we hit the post and had numerous shots, we couldn%u2018t get a goal.

How the match went: This match was a must win game after last week and with 2 goals and only 1 real chance for them, a 2 %u2013 1 victory was a fair result.

How the match went: This is a match we dominanted, scoring with 5 mins to go. Although before the end 1 player from each side was sin binned, after a bit of handbags

How the match went: This week DHD hit the woodwork at least 4 times and had all the shots. We scored a goal that the keeper let though his legs. They deserved victory!

How the match went: This week we recorded our 3rd 1-0 victory in a row, courtesy of a 2nd half penalty that Paul converted after they cleared the ball from inside the area.

How the match went: This was a tight match against the only team to beat us so far this season, overall a fair result for both teams.
Match 7

How the match went: This was a good match but we should have scored more, Matt scored a good goal from the break for the 1st. Overall we played well.

How the match went: This match we had an abysmal 1st half and conceded 3 goals., we kept a clean sheet in the 2nd half. They could have deservedly beaten us by more.

How the match went: This was a match in which we went 3 %u2013 0 down inside 10 minutes, with 3 excellent finishes. We pulled 2 back, but to no avail.

How the match went: This match hinged on 2 goals in the last minute, we scored 1st then they equalised. Overall we still guaranteed promotion.
End of season thoughts:
At the start of this season I said that we could get promoted, Churchill Doubtfires would comfortably stay in the division and Mexican Tuna be relegated. I was right on 2 of these predictions as we finished 2nd (although we should have finished 1st), Doutbfires finished 3rd and Mexican Tuna finished 5th yet again, but due to the virtue of Beechwood pulling out in the prem, they still don't go down. Overall this season went well for us gaining 12 points in the first 5 games, but the 2nd half we weren't so successful with only 5 points from 5 games. We should have won the division being 4 points clear at one point, but it wasn't meant to be. A win on the last day of season would have given us the championship and we were so close, we took the lead with a minute to go and 30 secs later they equalised; we just turned off. I am pleased that we made it up to division 2 and I congratulate Wallbags who were my pre season favourites for relegation on winning the division.
