The Squad
This page has been built to profile the members of the Sharp Shooters, from the regular 7 squad members to the substitute members that are called upon when needed.
Regular Squad:
Name: Daniel B
Debut as regular squad member: June 2003 (the start)
Position(s): Defender/Attack
A bit about: I am the captain and founder of the Sharp Shooters, which started in June 2003. I am primarily a defender and usually the last line of defence, although do have the ability to play up front when needed.
Name: James C
Debut as regular squad member: June 2003 (the start)
Position(s): Midfielder
A bit about: James is the only other team member to have been in the team since inception. He is suited to bigger pitch and likes to have time on the ball. Primarily he is a midfielder that can defend and attack when necessary.
Name: Paul Maddison
Debut as regular squad member: January 04 to March 09 & August 09
Position(s): Forward
A bit about: Paul is returning for his 2nd spell as a Sharp Shooter missing 2 seasons. He is our most attacking player and probably our all time leading goal scorer. He is responsible for taking the penalties and producing the creative spark.
Name: Fung C
Debut as regular squad member: March 2007
Position(s): Goal Keeper/Defender/Midfielder
A bit about: Fung was a fully fledged member since March 2007 and has the ability to play all round the pitch, anywhere from in goal to up from. Versatile, hard working and committed, he is an excellent addition to the team.
Name: Stu I
Debut as regular squad member: June 2009
Position(s): Defender
A bit about: Stu was one of 3 new members which joined in Spring 2009 and my vision for him is too form a solid defensive partnership with me. He is still relatively new this league, but his discipline and defensive nature will be an asset.
Name: Steve B
Debut as regular squad member: September 2009
Position(s): Everywhere
A bit about: Steve has joined the Sharp Shooters and brings a wealth of experience from Back Of The Net FC and the Rookies. Although his full debut is September 2009, he has stepped in consistantly over the last 5 years. He is strong defensively, has an eye for goal and is an all round quality player.
Name: Matt E
Debut as regular squad member: September 2009
Position(s): Goal Keeper/Defender
A bit about: Matt has finally joined full time in September 2009, having played more games in the last 2 years than a lot of my previous squads. His strongest positions are in goal or a defence, although he has no problem playing anywhere required.
