Season 1 - Division 1 (Prem, 1 & 2) - late league
Introduction:
For the first 3 seasons we were in the late league, after this time both the early and late leagues were amalgamated into one. This page was created midway through season 4, so apologies it is lacking detail. I have added what I think the results were and added any recollections of the matches.
Season Summary:
sLooking back at the season, it was definitely our worst. We went into the first season, with our only aim to stay in the division, I don't think we realised how difficult that would be to achieve. There were 2 main reasons that we struggled, firstly we were put in Late league Division 1, instead of Late League Division 2. Some of the teams in this league had been playing down there for years and were far better than us. The other major problem when we first started, was that some of the team hadn't played regularly since the ice age, I.e. me and James and we both found we were incredibly unfit.
In the first few games, we lost by some ridiculous margins and things were getting a little depressed. This changed in the last game, when we played Common Attack, drew 5 - 5 and picked up our first point of the season. Albeit they scored a last minute equaliser to stop us winning, but the point was brilliant.
