Southend Cup - May 2009

Competition Details:
This was a 6-a-side tournament held in Southend that had 30 participants from all the local6aside leagues. The format was simple, 6 groups of 5 and only the winners and the best 2nd placed finishes would make up the quarters.

End of Comptetition Summary:
Overall we played well for the 1st 2 and could have won both games, but didn't. The 3rd and 4th games were tough as they were both good sides, with Stifford Rangers having the potential to win the tournament. We unfortunately crashed out in the group stage having failed to score a goal, which was an unfair reflection of how we played.

A big thank you to Paul B and Brad who came in and helped the Sharp Shooters on a beautiful sunny day (which I got really burnt) and despite the elimination we all managed to get a nice tan.
