Season 40 - Division 5 (out of 6)
Start of season thoughts:
This season is going to be about consistency, if we can match the consistency shown last season (for this purpose season 38). Then I have no doubt a top 2 finish can be achieved.
This season has a familiar look to it, with us playing both Image and Bees (both of which played at Pitch Invasion) and another couple of contests v Churchills. The other teams in this division we have never played before, but based on their finishing positions last season I think they will be close games.
My prediction for this season is going to be a successive promotion for us and Underdogs. One positive point for the season is my return to the team after 8 months out through injury, hopefully I won't let the team down after such a long time out.

How the match went: This was a walkover victory, as the opposition didn't turn up.
Match 2

How the match went: This was my 1st competitive match after 9 months out injured and our 1st competitive match since November. The match went well with us taking the lead through a penalty and having the proportion of the play, yet they scored with a nice strike to level the game. Overall 2 points dropped.
Match 3

How the match went: This was our 1st loss in 16 games against a side which we could have beaten. Without Matt and Steve out and me finding my way back to sharpness, we didnt gel as a unit. Overall we had our chances, but they deserved the victory, which was ended our 16 game unbeaten run.

How the match went: This was poor performance and in essence a complacent one. We went one nil down inside 30 seconds and the defending after that was pitiful. We scored 2 goals and had we taken more chances could have been closer to Image. Despite this they still had to finish the chances and I look forward to playing them again.

How the match went: This was a game which we deserved to win due to majority share of possession, shots and influence. The 1st half however was closer and we went in 1-1, after a good goal from Steve and some slack marking from me to let the man steal in at the back post.
The damage was done in the 2nd half during a 3 minute spell, we score 3 goals including my first since I got back from Injury. Dave should really have had a hatrick tonight missing 2 sitters. They however got another one back and the match finished 4-2.
